Alfred Schwarz Kunststoffe is founded by Alfred Schwarz. The first product: Mipofolie, an innovative protective film for geographical maps and technical drawings.

Following the death of Alfred Schwarz, his wife Gertrud and son Hanspeter take over the management of the family business. Expansion of the product range with Mipofolie Colour and Folioplast, a protective book binding film.

To answer the rising demand for multifunctional workplace surfaces, ASLAN launches the magnetically-receptive whiteboard films FF 550 (glossy) and FF 490 (matt), which is also suitable for projections.
 

Since November, ASLAN is part of the POLI-TAPE Group based in Remagen/Germany and thus continues to run as a family-owned business.

Magnetically-receptive blackboard film

The success of the magnetically-receptive whiteboard films leads to the development of a magnetically-receptive blackboard film. FF 540 is writable using chalk or liquid chalk.
